The leader of one of the two largest evangelical churches in the world,

Brother Eddie, is making an historic visit to the Knesset.

Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and Asian Christian

leaders to meet to further Israel/Asia relation.

Sunday June 5, 2005, Jerusalem-

Reverend Eddie Villanueva, leader of JIL Church, and former

candidate for president of the Philippines, along with a 100-member

delegation, are visiting the Knesset for the first time on June 8, 2005.

The Knesset's Christian Allies Caucus

will receive them at a special meeting in the Knesset Lecture Hall scheduled for 5:00 PM.

The meeting will discuss the Jerusalem Summit, Asia II planned for next year in

Seoul, Korea, as well as other initiatives to strengthen and expand relations between

Jerusalem and Asia.

This year's participants in the second annual Israel Experience College Scholarship program,

organized by Robert Stearns' Eagles Wings Ministry will be attending the meeting

as the conclusion of a day spent at the Knesset, with Knesset Members at work.

The 14 Knesset Members who make up the Caucus,

come from the seven major Israeli political parties

(Likud, Mafdal, Labor, Shinui, National Union, Meretz and Shas),

and so are representative of the views of the majority of citizens of Israel.

The Christian Allies Caucus facilitates communication and promotes

cooperation between the State of Israel and Christians around the world.

For the first time, Christian churches and organizations and the representatives

of the people of Israel have formal and direct lines of communication,

and a place to meet face to face to discuss the issues which concern them.
