The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has today released, together with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the World Bank, the joint BIS-IMF-OECD-World Bank statistics on external debt. These provide the latest international data available, mainly from creditor sources, on the external debt of developing and transition countries and territories.

The statistics are now available from the BIS website (www.bis.org) and from the websites of the IMF, OECD and World Bank.
