Sir Jeremy Greenstock and his Dilemma

The senior diplomat of the UK government is Sir Jeremy Greenstock, formerly UK Ambassador to the UN.

He left the UN Post and was selected to head up the highly prestigious Ditchley Foundations of the UK, which is at the pinnacle of influence as a think tank with several Prime Ministers at its disposal such as John Manor, Callghan, etc. and many senior offcials such as Douglas Hurd, Carrington, Robertson, the Nato Chief, and so on.    American Ditchley has Scowcroft, Weinberger, etc. as principal participants (see names below).

Greenstock was suddenly sent to Iraq as England’s main man at the Coaliition Provisional Authority and advised Bremer.

What is Greenstock’s dilemma?

The answer is that Greenstock realizes that without a Palestinian settlement there can never be a stable and peaceful Middle East and that there can also never be a sane Anglo-American possibility.

Since Washington is absolutely under the thumb, influence and spell of the neo-con/Zionist grouping, this means that top establishment figures like Greenstock are making up policies that have no foundation in sanity or reality.   Greenstock is acutely aware of this insanity.

Take a look at the immediate Ditchley calendar of events and you will immediately spot the source of the paralysis:

PROGRAMME OF DITCHLEY CONFERENCES
June
to December 2004

September

17-19

The practical implications of post-conflict peacebuilding for the international community

(Chairman:  Ambassador Lakhdar Brahimi)

October 1-3

The future direction of an enlarged Europe

(Chairman:  Lord Kerr)

October 29-31 China:  a power for the 21st Century

(Chairman:  Sir John Boyd)

November 12-14

Political, social and economic change in the Middle East

(Chairman:  Mr Mark Malloch Brown)

Ambassador Lakhdar Brahimi, scheduled, as you see above,  for a Ditchley presentation for September 17, 2004, was the top UN diplomat in Iraq who recently organized the phase-out of Bremer and the installation of the current government.   An Algerian diplomat, he has repeatedly stated that Israel is the source of chaos and instability in the Middle East and an obstacle to any settlement of the problems there.

But Greenstock, who knows all this is paralyzed by the neo-con/Zionist hold on Washington.  Confronting Sharon and the neo-cons could lead to a rift with Bush, the Congress, the media, etc, and Blair/Greenstock are committed to "staying engaged" whatever the cost.

As per usual, the neo-con Zionist grouping--Sharon, Wolfowitz, Feith, Cheney, Perle--have the entire world in an "Alice in Wonderland" situation.
