Where did the Urim and Thummim go?

In pursuit of "Peace and Justice" throughout the world, and in particular, between Israel and the Palestinian people there are two crucial elements that, if not implemented into the formula of Middle- East decision making, their absence could prove to be the catalyst for a third world war and the potential reoccurrence of another Holocaust.

From the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies

The assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri on February 14 has cast suspicion on Syria and thrown Lebanon into turmoil. In this latest edition of Tel Aviv Notes, Senior Fellow Prof. Eyal Zisser argues that while Syria had every reason to want Hariri out of the way, it is unlikely that Syria actually carried out the assassination. Hariri's death has brought Syria's relations with the United States and with France to the lowest point in recent memory and it highlights, once again, the weakness both of Syria as a country and of Bashar al-Asad as a leader.
